Men’s Breakfast

On the last Saturday of every month from September to June we have a Men’s Breakfast. This is held at 8.00 am in the Church Hall, and generally lasts until around 9.30 am. This a key part in the Celebration weekend, which involves our children, men and church worship. See the Celebration Weekends page for further details

Excellent food is offered, prepared by volunteer men!

The cost has been a minimum of $5 to cover the costs of food, and there is often enough left over for this group to sponsor several activities of the church.

The meeting generally starts with a short opportunity to gather and share experiences, ask for prayers for the sick, share in our joys, sadnesses  and successes.

It is usually followed by a song or two, and then by brief prayer for the work of this group, this church and a blessing on the food.

After eating we usually have a guest speaker who comes to give us information, advice, history, experience on a whole range of topics.

In the past year we have had talks, for example,  on Mission to Africa, Prison visiting, experience in banking from a recently retired bank manager, youth work in the Diocese, the Anglican Church in England, and we are always on the lookout for interesting speakers for our enjoyment and education.

If you would like to join us, and you will be most warmly welcomed, the only requirement is that you are available and male. Age is no obstacle. Our present age range is 14 to 93. It would help if you left a message at the church office, or through the Contact button on this site, so that we know how much to prepare. We usually have a group of around 25 men, so there is plenty of room for growth!

As this years programme of speakers develops, it will be listed on this page.

Mens Breakfast will start again in January 2022
